Admission Process

The admission procedure to Academic Heights Public School that follows CBSE syllabus is simple and straightforward. Follow the steps below: Parents are requested to fill in the Registration Form that can be obtained from the school. The information from the above is used to see if the child meets the admission criteria Parents are invited to fill out the Admission Form and all other necessary documents, including Medical History form and Acquaintance Form in order to complete the admission process. The filled Admission Form is required to be submitted at the respective Academic Heights center, where admission is required. Please ensure that the Required Documents (see the list below) are brought to the school during admission. For all other queries, parents are requested to schedule a meeting with the school coordinator.

Age Criteria

Documents Required

1 Birth Certificate (original and one photocopy. The latter will be retained by the school).
2 Transfer Certificate (if applicable).
3 3 passport size photograph of each child & one each of parents/guardian.
4 Photocopy of resident proof (Voter Id/Ration card/Passport).
5 Medical history records and other details about the child that may be important.

Assessment procedure

Classes I to II

No formal examination system is followed. The child's day to day performance in academics, co-curricular and sports related activities is observed constantly and the record of this assessment is sent to the parents from time to time. There will be no cumulative or final result. They will be assessed monthly. There is no detention. The class could be repeated with the consent of the parents only.

Classes III to V

In these classes, along with the continuous assessment, cycle tests are conducted four times in a year in all the academic subjects. The subjects are awarded grades. In these classes, the weightage of marks for the final result will be 25% each of the Cycle Tests.

Classes VI to VIII

In these classes, Continuous and comprehensive Evaluation(CCE) is followed. CCE aims to hone and evaluate the students holistically. Two terms have been suggested during a year. The schedule of exam pattern is FA 1 , FA 2, SA 1 , FA 3, FA 4, SA 2. Overall grade will be based on the grand total of marks obtained in all exams.

3. Socks-beige coloured with blue stripes.

5. School belt-blue and beige(stripped).

Girls:
1. Light blue half sleeves shirt with school monogram on the pocket.
2. Beige skirt (knee length).
3. Socks-beige coloured with blue stripes.
4. Black leather shoes.

Winter uniform

Boys:
1. Light blue full sleeves shirt with school monogram on the pocket.
2. Beige coloured trousers.
3. Pullover-dark blue V-neck with beige coloured stripes.
4. Blazer-blue with pocket badge.

Girls:

Monday to Friday: 07:55 am to 12:55pm.
Saturday. : 07:55 am to 10:30am.
(Students should reach the school latest by 07:50am.)

Period-wise Timings.

07:55 am to 08:25 am: Assembly.
08:25 am to 08:55 am: First Period.
08:55 am to 09:25 am: Second Period.
09:25 am to 09:55 am: Third Period.
09:55 am to 10:25 am: Fourth Period.
10:25 am to 10:55 am: Recess.
10:55 am to 11:25 am: Fifth Period.
11:25 am to 11:55 am: Sixth Period.
11:55 am to 12:25 pm: Seventh Period.
12:25 pm to 12:55 pm: Eighth Period.

Visiting Time

Parents can meet the Principal between 09:00 am to 11:00 am on all working days.

Rules regarding Leave and Absence.

1. It is compulsory for students to have 75% attendance to be eligible for their final exam. The percentage may be relaxed in medical cases only.
2. Students, who are suffering from any illness, must get a medical certificate from their doctor on joining the school.
